What happens in the meeting?

  • We begin altogether for a time of prayer and singing God’s praise (using the best of both classic older hymns and newer songs).
  • There is usually a short, all-age interactive teaching slot.
  • After about 30 minutes, on most weeks, the children then go to creche (0-2s) or GCKids (3-11s) for age-appropriate Bible teaching and activities.  Children are also very welcome to stay in the main meeting with their parents for the sermon. For 11 – 14s  we usually have message sheets to help them follow along.
  • A passage of the Bible is read and then a message from that passage is given.  Usually we are working through a book of the Bible, passage by passage, week by week.
  • After the message, there is a short time of response in song and prayer.
  • The meeting usually ends between 5:00pm and 5:10pm.  After which there are refreshments served.

Once a month during the meeting we share in the Lord’s Supper together.  This is open to everyone who trusts Jesus as Saviour and is seeking to live with him as Lord of their life.  If that’s not you – then it’s fine to let the bread and wine pass you by when they are served.

Do I need to be a Christian to come along?

No! We welcome everyone. If you are wanting to discover what Christianity is all about, then there are different ways we can help you do that. Click here for more details.

What should I wear?

There’s no dress code.  Come in your usual clothes!

Where do I park?

There is a large parking area in front of Gosford Hill School. From there you’ll see our banner on the gate and two people on the gate to welcome you and show you how to get to the school canteen where we meet.

What time should I arrive?

We serve refreshments from 3:30pm and the meeting starts at 4:00pm  – so feel free to come before 4:00pm. It takes a few minutes to walk from the car park to the school canteen – so best to have parked by 3:50pm.

Do I have to give money?

We do not take up a collection in the meeting and there is no expectation for anyone to donate. If you do decide you would like to make a donation head over to our Giving page for how to give .
